I just wanted to zip off a quick note to you before I head out for Zambia tomorrow and returning the 5th of November…I am so blessed to be able to represent all our ministry team in service to Christ wherever I get the opportunity to go. This time it happens to be Kasama, Zambia, where the weather is said to be mostly sunny in the lower 90’s. That’s a ton better than mid 50’s and rain!
I doubt we will see much of the weather though. 90% of the time is spent indoors and teaching. This time we will be going through the Bible Study Methods curriculum. This is so important in today’s day and age where the norm is to believe the Bible is open to everyone’s own interpretation.
2 Peter 1:20 states,
“But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation”
If prophecy (that is the most argued over) is not subject to one’s own interpretation then so is the rest of Scripture.
Please pray for the team as we go and try to teach the science and art of Bible interpretation to the people there. I will be joining Bret Nazworth and Larry DePue.
Pray as well for John Clark and Rob Armstrong as they team up to teach in Liberia over the same days.
Pray for our families that remain behind and support us as well.
Many blessings to you all.
Grace!
John
